The flag-covered coffins of fallen servicemen/women are to be photographed - NOT the broken, shattered bloddied bodies. When will we figure out that it's just another sensationalized plea for more military spending? Sensitivity does not enter into this discussion; neither does human decency.

Matt, I applaud you. Remember, there is fame, and there is infamy. God be with all military families everywhere that must grieve for lost ones.

It's entirely possible you're right. Consider the other side - that she was given the membership as a Christmas/Hannukah/ Kwanzaa/birthday gift, or was there for the first time just checking the place out, or that she was the guest of a friend.

Bless you and all military families. My husband is ex-Air Force, and I'm with you - if he had lost his life in service and someone was CALLOUS enough to publish his death photos, I would be past myself. In this litigious society, one should be VERY careful about what one chooses to do.

Telling the story - the FULL, TRUE story - NEED NOT INVOLVE A PHOTO. The only violated rights are those of the family that wished to grieve in private. And we ALL know about the 'ethics' of some journalists - they are just collecting ducats.

It is disrespectful and disgusting to ALL families, not just American families, to be subjected to this trauma. The only reason for these photos is to garned rabid, uninformed, raving support for more unnecessary military spending.
